SUSMAGPRO welcomes the new EC proposals to make sustainable products the norm and boost Europe’s resource independence. The project, which focuses on the Rare Earths (RE) sector, contributes to this goal by developing a supply chain for recycled RE materials and magnets.

Ensuring access to the raw materials for the European Green Deal: A European Call for Action

On 30th September 2021, the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA) released its Action Plan to secure access to Rare Earth Elements for European industry. Entitled Rare Earth Magnets and Motors: A European Call for Action, the report outlines current and projected European demand for Rare Earth Elements and steps which should be taken to secure their supply.

SUSMAGPRO Exhibition at Pforzheim University

Interactive SUSMAGPRO exhibition takes place as part of the opening of the Centre for Precision Technology (ZPT) at Pforzheim University on 30th September 2021 and project partner INS demonstrates automated separation of rare earth magnets from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
